A minimum passing distance when passing a cyclist has been specified as 1 metre when passing a cyclist on a road with 60km/h or less speed limit or 1.5 metres when passing a cyclist if the speed limit is in excess of 60km/h.rn

Vehicle A must give way to vehicle B. When lines of traffic merge where there are no lane lines to be crossed, a driver must give way to any vehicle ahead of them.

When changing lanes you must give a change of direction signal and give way to any vehicle in the lane you are moving into

Vehicle A must give way to vehicle B and C. If the lane the driver is travelling in comes to an end, and the driver has to cross a lane line to merge, the driver must give way to traffic already in the lane they are moving to.

Directions given by Police Officers overrule stop signs and give way signs.

If you are doing a U-turn you must give way to all vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, including vehicles at stop and give way signs.

When you drive on a road where there are no line markings, you must drive as near as practical to the left side of the road.rn

If you are facing a Police Officer giving the hand signals shown in the diagram, you must proceed in the direction shown by the Police Officer as Police directions overrule the traffic lights.rn

A driver on a multi-lane road where the speed limit is above 80km/h must not drive in the right lane unless overtaking another vehicle, preparing for a right turn, or avoiding an obstacle, or the traffic in every lane is congested.rn

Vehicle A must turn right. In a lane marked with arrows, you must drive only in the direction of the arrows.
